Compliance & Due Diligence
Our Standards Are Non-Negotiable
50K Capital does not facilitate transactions involving unverified principals, undocumented assets, or parties who cannot satisfy standard compliance requirements. This page explains what we require and why.
Why Compliance Is Central to What We Do
Transaction facilitation in the physical commodities, precious metals, and cross-border business space carries inherent risk — not just commercial risk, but reputational and legal risk. The market is populated with misrepresented assets, undocumented sellers, and intermediary chains that obscure the actual owner. Our compliance standards exist to protect all parties: the buyers and sellers we introduce, and the integrity of 50K Capital as a facilitator.
We are not a regulated financial institution, licensed broker-dealer, or registered investment adviser. We do not provide legal or compliance advice. However, we apply rigorous internal standards to every engagement — and we will not move forward with any transaction that does not meet those standards, regardless of the size or apparent attractiveness of the opportunity.
Our Standards
What We Require From All Principals
Know Your Principal (KYP)
All principals — buyers, sellers, mandates, and intermediaries — must be identifiable and verifiable. We require government-issued identification, entity documentation, and confirmation of authority to transact. Anonymous or pseudonymous parties are not accepted.
Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
We screen all principals against applicable sanctions lists and conduct AML due diligence consistent with the nature and jurisdiction of the transaction. We will not facilitate transactions that present AML red flags, regardless of the commercial opportunity.
Sanctions Compliance
All parties and transactions are screened against OFAC, UN, EU, and other applicable sanctions lists. We do not facilitate transactions involving sanctioned individuals, entities, or jurisdictions.
Asset Verification
Assets must be documented, verifiable, and owned or controlled by the principal presenting them. We require chain of custody, ownership records, assay or inspection documentation, and export/import licenses as applicable.
Source of Funds
For transactions involving significant capital deployment, buyers may be required to provide documentation of the source of funds consistent with the size and nature of the transaction.
Export & Import Compliance
All cross-border transactions must comply with the export and import regulations of the relevant jurisdictions. Required licenses, permits, and regulatory approvals must be in place before any transaction proceeds.
No Facilitation of Fraud
We will immediately terminate any engagement where we have reason to believe that a principal has misrepresented their identity, authority, or the nature of the asset. We reserve the right to report suspected fraud to appropriate authorities.
What We Will Not Accept
Automatic Disqualifiers
The following are automatic disqualifiers. Submissions presenting any of these characteristics will not be advanced.
Anonymous sellers or buyers who refuse to provide identity documentation
Assets with no verifiable chain of custody or ownership documentation
Intermediary chains of three or more parties where the actual asset owner cannot be identified
Transactions requiring upfront fees paid to the seller or their representatives before verification
Principals on OFAC, UN, EU, or other applicable sanctions lists
Assets located in sanctioned jurisdictions or subject to export restrictions that cannot be resolved
Payment procedures that deviate materially from commercially standard instruments without explanation
Sellers who cannot or will not submit to independent third-party inspection and assay prior to payment
